new items
Hi everyone! I have a couple of new items listed now in my etsy store. I will share two with you! The first might require a little explanation. It is my new, "Lupus Sucks" pillow, which I created in rebellious response to this illness which has taken over my body. For over a week, I have been lying in bed almost constantly, with complications that result from lupus. While lying there, I felt that I had to make something to express how I was feeling, and thus the Lupus Sucks pillow was born. After creating it (and being so proud of it because it's the first thing I've EVER sewn on the sewing machine - the pillow inside), the sales bird whispered in my ear that maybe others who are suffering from chronic pain and/or illness would like to have one as well, so I've listed it on etsy. The second item is a little spring hat, called "Garden Party" which is a really cute little spring hat for a little girl. The story behind this hat is unusual. It was going to be a yo gabba gabba character hat, but as I was creating it, it just screamed to be a frilly, flowery, little girl hat. And so here it is. Both of these items are for sale in my etsy store at http://www.etsy.com/shop/suefern643. Thanks for reading my blog. Sometimes I feel like I'm just talking to myself on here. I hope not!

More Easter Stuff
I'm really in the Easter spirit right now! Here's an upcycled Easter Bunny basket/candy bowl. Made from a vintage pattern in one of my mother's old, old craft magazines, he's the perfect use for a 2-liter soda bottle. He's for sale in my etsy store! http://www.etsy.com/shop/suefern643.

New Crochet Easter Bunny
I just created another version of the crochet Easter bunny. This time, I followed more closely the colors listed in the original pattern, but I changed the dress a little, and added a "hair" bow that was my own design! I also put buttons on for eyes and nose, and added a pretty bow on the dress with a button center. I'm really enjoying making stuffed animals! She's for sale in my etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/suefern643.

Crochet crossover toddler shirt
This is a toddler shirt that I crocheted, which crosses over the chest. I made this during the Superbowl game. (I was rooting for the Steelers-wah!) I think it would look SO CUTE over a sleeveless Easter dress! I wish I had a little toddler girl. I just LOVE making toddler clothing! It's in my store http://www.etsy.com/shop/suefern643
